NBX non-bridging fracture fixation is based on the concept of using a matrix of multi-planar and multi-directional k-wires to capture and hold the intra or extra-articular fragments in place. The resulting multi-matrix® of k-wires is held in place by an external frame and secures the reduced fracture fragments while allowing passive and/or active motion at the joint while the fracture heals.
All k-wires are placed through and held in place by an external locking plate or frame in a minimally invasive percutaneous technique.
Nutek Orthopaedics, Inc., is committed to the development and marketing of new technologies in orthopaedic surgery that are based on the principles of non-bridging fracture fixation utilizing a group of multi-planar and multi-directional k-wires and half-pins to capture and hold intra and extra-articular fracture fragments in place. The resulting construct of multi-matrix® k-wires or half-pins is then held in place by an external frame while allowing passive and/or active motion at the joint without the risk of fracture displacement.
